Working Principle Of High-Pressure Oil Pump
The working principle of high-pressure fuel pump has three points: suction stroke, return stroke, and pump stroke
1. During the oil suction process, the power for oil suction is supplied by the downward movement of the pump piston. At the same time, the oil inlet valve is opened, and the fuel is sucked into the pump chamber. In the last one-third of the pump piston stroke, the fuel pressure regulating valve is energized, allowing the early inlet valve to remain open for oil return during the upward movement of the pump piston.
2. The return stroke is used to adjust the actual fuel supply, and the inlet valve is still open in the early stages of upward movement of the pump piston, allowing excess fuel to flow back to the low-pressure end of the pump piston. The function of a pressure regulator is to absorb the pressure fluctuations caused by this process.
3. In the early stage of the pump oil stroke, the fuel pressure regulating valve is powered off, causing the inlet valve to close under the combined action of the rising pressure in the pump chamber and the closing spring inside the valve. The upward movement of the pump piston causes pressure in the pump chamber. When the pressure exceeds the pressure inside the fuel rail, the outlet valve is opened and fuel is pumped into the fuel rail.
The function of the high-pressure oil pump is that the oil outlet of the high-pressure oil pump enters the oil cooler, and after the oil cooler comes out, it enters the oil filter. After coming out of the oil filter, it is divided into two paths, one of which is depressurized and supplied to the lubricating oil circuit as regulating oil. There may be one to two accumulators in the oil circuit. Its function is to increase fuel pressure and high-pressure injection to achieve atomization effect.
